Jon Bon Jovi is a singer and songwriter who is best known for his band, ‘Bon Jovi’. He has also starred in movies and television shows and is considered one of the world’s most popular rock stars.
Bon Jovi’s career began in 1980 when he recorded his first single, Runaway, with studio musicians. The song quickly got airplay, and he soon recruited guitar player Richie Sambora, bassist Alec John Such and drummer Tico Torres.
The band’s breakthrough album, Slippery When Wet, was released in 1986 and quickly became their best-selling record with more than 28 million copies sold worldwide. It featured their number one hit, “You Give Love a Bad Name,” which was written by Richie Sambora and Desmond Child.
During the 1990s, Bon Jovi released several solo albums and began to act in film. He also founded his own label, Jambco Records and management company, Bon Jovi Management.
