Bon Jovi Concert Review – Omaha, NE

Bon Jovi kicked off their 2022 Tour with a sold out show in Omaha, NE at the CHI Health Center. The GRAMMY-winning rock giants packed the arena to the rafters with fans old and young who were ready to sing along with those familiar choruses. Jon is a true frontman and conducts the crowd like a pastor addressing his church commune. It is over thirty years since the band first formed yet they remain so lively on stage and their fans are just as enthusiastic.

Some of the skeptics and more cynical members of the fan base have been complaining that Jon Bon Jovi’s singing voice has taken a turn for the worse over the past few shows. While he still sounds better than the average aging rock singer, it isn’t quite the same as he used to. It is still a great rock and roll voice, just not as powerful and commanding as it once was.

That being said, he is a lot of fun up there and has the audience laughing hysterically for most of the show. He has a great smile and just loves to have a good time. The band plows through the hits with gang vocals and it is really a great way to spend a couple of hours.

It is always a pleasure to see the original members of Bon Jovi back together on stage. Phil X is a great replacement for Richie Sambora and the new addition of David Bryan plays piano and keyboards perfectly. They are one of the few bands who can do that and it is very cool. They are a great rock band that proves arena rock is far from dead.

The opening song was the massive hit ’Always’ and the crowd went wild. The band followed up with a great performance of ‘New Jersey’ and a whole bunch of other classics. The band also performed some songs from their latest album 2020 and it was a nice surprise. The highlight was probably the song ‘Keep the Faith’. The audience exploded for that one and the band was obviously happy to be playing again.

Bon Jovi’s tour is a must-see for any music fan and this was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. It was a great show and they definitely proved that they are one of the greatest rock bands in history. They even re-recorded some of their most classic songs which is pretty awesome. Bon Jovi has a new documentary coming out called ‘Thank You, Goodnight: The Story of Bon Jovi’ on April 26th and it looks amazing. It has never been released before and it will chronicle the band’s epic journey from Jersey Shore clubs to the biggest stages on the planet. It will include personal videos, unreleased early demos and more. The show will be available on both Hulu and Disney+. Check out the trailer below.
